Conveniently located near downtown Grass Valley and the Nevada County Fairgrounds on five secured acres of pines and oak trees, Carriage House Farm is a boutique boarding facility that caters to retired horses, horses in need of lay-up, rehabilitation services, or short-term vacation boarding. The facility offers a variety of accommodations, including box stalls, paddocks and pastures with shelter. A sand arena is also available for lunging, ensuring the horses have the space they need to stay active and healthy.

Box Stalls
The twelve stall barn has 12×12 / 12×16 / 12 x 24 box stalls. All stalls bedded with triple screen pine shavings.
Pasture Options
Choose from irrigated or dry pastures, paddocks, or sheltered areas for your horse’s comfort and well-being.
24-Hour Supervision
Rest easy knowing that the owner lives on-site, ensuring your horse receives twenty-four hour supervision.
Veterinary & Farrier Services
Excellent working relationship with local equine vets and farriers. And in the event of emergencies, we are located only 40 minutes from Loomis Basin Equine Hospital.
Lunging & Hand Walking
For rehab horses, our sand arena is available for lunging and/or hand walking services.
Grooming & Clipping
Full grooming services, including body clipping, blanketing, and more, to ensure your horse is well-maintained.
Quality Care and Supervision for Your Horse
Because the owner lives on site, Carriage House Farm is able to provide 24-hour supervision, ensuring the highest level of care. Horses are fed twice a day with hay and/or alfalfa, and stalls are cleaned twice a day; pastures once a day, to maintain a comfortable and clean environment. Additional services are also available, including blanketing, lunging, grooming, body clipping, medicine administration, and wrapping.
We pride ourselves on our excellent working relationships with local equine veterinary and farrier services, ensuring that all horses receive the best possible care during their stay.
